Promise is the upcoming fourth studio album by American rapper Soulja Boy. As of October 2011[update], it is scheduled to be released in April 20, 2012, after the debut of the documentary,Soulja Boy: The Movie, which was released on October 18.[1] It is set to be released through Stacks on Deck Entertainment, Collipark and Interscope Records. Soulja Boy will now release the album with Collipark Records, like his 1st and 2nd albums. His previous album, The DeAndre Way, was not released through Collipark Records, and experienced slightly decent album sales. Soulja Boy announced the name of the album and its cover, but as of now, no single has been announced.[2]
Background
Soulja Boy released a mixtape preceding the album called The Last Crown. It has Big Sean, French Montana and Lil B as guests on the mixtape.[3] Promise will feature guests stars like Snoop Dogg, Big Sean, Nicki Minaj, 50 Cent, Sean Kingston, Busta Rhymes, Kreayshawn, Hurricane Chris, V.I.C. and more. Soulja Boy will also including his artist, Arab who left the group for unknown reasons and started his own record label called Boss Money Records. Ja-Bar, who is with Universal Motown & Stack on Deck Money Gang with Soulja Boy will also be included on the album.
